CRYSTAL EGGER

Mother, Emmy winning meteorologist and host, and founder of A Sunny Space.

“I WANTED TO CREATE A PLACE WHERE OTHERS COULD DRAW INSPIRATION AND FEEL THE FREEDOM AND COURAGE TO GO WHERE THEY FEEL MOST ALIVE AND LIVE THEIR BEST LIFE.”

Crystal Egger is a mother, Emmy winning meteorologist and host, and founder of A Sunny Space documentary series. She grew up in the small town of Grand Terrace, California and would be the first in her family to go to college and attend the University of California, Santa Barbara. Eventually moving on to study broadcast Meteorology through Mississippi State.

Crystal quickly launched into a successful broadcasting career, traveling around the country climbing to higher markets. While on a morning show in Denver, pregnant with her first child, Crystal began having complications and delivered her daughter at 27 weeks, weighing just 1lb 14oz. She and her husband would then embark on a long, emotional and humbling 3-month journey with their daughter, Sayla in the NICU, followed by 10 months on oxygen. Amazingly, she beat all the odds and forever changed Crystal’s outlook on life.

Crystal eventually moved to Atlanta where she could take her career to the national stage at The Weather Channel, filling in periodically on NBC’s weekend TODAY Show. In 2013, she returned to Southern California and joined KNBC in Los Angeles. Crystal recently left the world of broadcast news and 2am wake-up calls
to live in San Diego with her family and pursue other opportunities including her passion project,
A Sunny Space documentary series.
