I have the Jane shorts from last summer in a size 12. I’ve lost weight and needed to get a smaller size. I bought the Royal Wash and the Instruction wash in a size 8. Chose my size based on my measurements and the size chart. I was skeptical that an 8 would fit, I figured it would be way too small. To my surprise, it fit. The Royal Wash pair seems more snug and shorter than the Instruction pair, but not enough to return. I think they will stretch out some. If you are in between sizes, I would go up in the Royal wash. Also, consult the size chart and buy according to that. Lastly, the Royal Wash has a lot of distressing, my pair has an actual hole in the front. So if you don’t want a truly distressed pair of cutoffs choose a different wash.
